Majorette display wins the Display Superstar bronze!

The aim of merchandising displays in retail outlets must be to attract the customer’s attention and to showcase products at the POS. This requires innovative technical solutions – alongside creativity and a feel for the target group.

In order to recognise creativity in the design of POS displays, an award for the best POS displays is presented annually at the viscom trade fair in Düsseldorf. The awards have been sponsored by the trade magazine “display” since 2104.

Metall Decor was awarded a bronze Superstar in the metal goods display category for Majorette’s “Petrol Pump Display” on 9.01.2019. The award-winning display merchandiser was primarily the creation of Susanne Krüger, Manager Trade Fair & Trade Marketing, Simba Dickie Group, and Markus Hirsch, Division Director, Majorette.

Majorette is a brand name of the model vehicles marketed by the company Dickie Toys, a member of the Simba Dickie Group, which delight car enthusiasts with their attention to detail and quality. The Majorette display attracts the attention of the car-loving target group at the POS and at the same time conveys the brand message. An illuminated petrol pump in the style of an old vehicle workshop, in which the Majorette models are displayed, draws in vehicle enthusiasts from afar. It is not only the shape of the display that is eye-catching: as well as an illuminated logo, a fully lit diorama window presents the manufacturer’s special products in a setting. An excellent and ingenious idea.

The display was developed in collaboration with Metall Decor and is the centrepiece of a new shop fitting which will be rolled out across Europe in 2019.
